Uhm Tae Woong has picked his next project, this time he’s been cast in the upcoming melodrama called ‘Equator Man’, which is writer Kim In Young’s first piece in four years since ‘Women in the Sun’ of 2008.

Uhm will be playing the lead role, a man who grew up at an orphanage and led a harsh life after his father was killed. Now he turns into a successful businessman, but finds himself in a fierce rivalry with his best childhood friend, played by Lee Jun Hyuk (City Hunter).

Idol-actor ZE:A’s Siwan who recently played as the young good-looking Heo Yeom in MBC’s most-rated drama ‘The Moon that Embraces the Sun’, has also been cast in the show as Uhm’s younger counterpart. He’ll be appearing in the first four episode of the show.

Equator Man’ is scheduled to release on March 14, after the 16-episode-drama ‘Wild Romance’ and the four-episode-special-drama ‘Ordinary Love’ wrap up.
