It’s been officially confirmed that Ha Ji Won and Lee Seung Gi will get together as a couple for the upcoming fusion drama ‘The King’, a new drama that comes from the “Beethoven Virus” team (PD Lee Jae Kyu and writers Hong Jin Ah and Jong Ja Ram).
The drama revolves around a fictional modern-day where South Korea is governed by a constitutional monarchy. Lee plays the crown prince who looks perfect in outside but he’s actually a horribly spoiled and materialistic. He somehow ends up marrying a legendary North Korean special agent (played by Ha) and begins their unlikely romance with prejudices about each other, but later come to fall in love.
‘The King’ will follow the currently-airing hit sageuk romance ‘The Moon that Embraces the Sun’.

SBS’s fantasy-melodrama ‘Secret Garden’ is getting more and more popular each episode. Besides it recorded relatively high ratings, the drama made a big wave for its special shoots, like blink-blink track suit, romantic sit-up, and cappuccino foam kiss.
It thanked to great chemistry between Ha Ji Won and Hyun Bin which allowed them to win the best couple award and top excellence awards, as well as popularity award for the drama at 2010 SBS Drama Awards which held on December 31.
Meanwhile, the highest award, Daesang, went to top Korean actress Go Hyun Jung for her portrayal as the first Korean female president in ‘Daemul’. And here is the list of the winners:
