‘Mischievous Kiss’ Started with a Miserable Low Rating

Mmhh… I don’t know how to say it, because it’s a shocked news and maybe disappointing some people. Teen romantic-comedy Korean drama ‘Mischievous Kiss’ aka ‘Playful Kiss’ which has become a hot topic around over a month, started the first episode with a miserable low rating, 3.5%. That’s even lower than the flop it replaced, ‘Road No. 1’, which ended on an already low 5.3%.

Although, it wasn’t too surprising news to me because i didn’t put high expectation in the first time, but I thought it would be a lot better than that since it has idol power to attract people attention. Perhaps idol power wasn’t enough to make a hit, considering the similarly low numbers for the anticipated ‘Sunkyunkwan Scandal’ just recorded 6.3% on Monday.

In the other hand, its strongest competitor ‘King of Baker, Kim Tak Goo’ held a distant lead with 44%, while SBS’s ‘My Girlfriend is a Gumiho’ stayed in second place with an 11.9%.

Well, maybe it’s too early to make a conclusion. Now, I wonder if its rerun on the weekend will make a better ratings.
