The upcoming sports medical Korean drama ‘Dr. Champ’ has added Korean model-actor Jung Suk Won of ‘The Beast’ (2010) to its cast. The drama directed by Park Hyung Ki who helmed romantic comedy Korean drama ‘Get Karl!Oh Soo Jung’, has had its lead roles, they are Kim So Yeon, Uhm Tae Woong, and Jung Gyu Woon.

The drama centers about friendship and love circle between physicians and national athletes at Taerung National Village, the training camp for national Olympic athletes. In drama, Suk Won will play as the national judo as well as Jung Gyu Woon does. Suk Won was a shining judo athlete who took many international championships. But, he must through a difficult life since he injured his opponent in a match.

Jung Suk Won’s debut drama is in the 2007 SBS Korean drama ‘Belle’. Since then, he has appeared as supporting actor in several notable Korean dramas, including ‘The World That They Live In’ (KBS2, 2008), ‘Shining Inheritance’ (SBS, 2009), ‘Creating Destiny’ (MBC, 2009). Meanwhile, his debut movie ‘The Beast’ will premiere in the second half of this year.

Dr. Champ‘ is aimed to release in September, following ahjumma-rock-band Korean drama ‘I am Legend‘ which will air after the airing romantic comedy Korean drama ‘Coffee House‘ ends its runs.
