Josie Ho to Star in Rain’s Action Korean Drama ‘Runaway’

The upcoming romantic-comedy action Korean drama ‘Runaway’ aka ‘Fugitive’ makes a fuss once more by adding a singer and actress from Hong Kong, Josie Ho, to its cast. She will be making an appearance as the role of the Chinese character Hwai, who chases after Ji-hoo, played by Korean superstar Rain.

This cast addition completes the big star lineup including Asian superstar Rain, Lee Na Young, Lee Jung Jin, Daniel Henney, Kong Hyung Jin, veteran Japanese actor Takenaka Naoto, J-pop singer Uehara Takako, and Hong Kong star Eric Tsang.

Josie’s appearance attracts attention of people due to her spectacular backdrop. She is the daughter of businessman Stanley Ho, the Macau’s wealthiest person and amongst the wealthiest in Asia. According to Forbes, he tied for 701st rank among the world’s richest people in 2009, with an estimated net worth of US$1 billion.

Josie was involved in numerous movies, TV commercials, TV dramas, and singing performances. She has played many roles including a few as prostitutes which contrasted strongly with her own wealthy upbringing as a billionaire’s daughter.

The filming of ‘Runaway’ is underway which is taken in numerous Asia’s big cities. The drama is scheduled to air in the end of September on KBS2.
