Jang Geun Seuk To Star in Live-Action ‘Mary Stayed Out All Night’

The most popular Korean actor Jang Geun Seuk is expected to star in live-action ‘Mary Stayed Out All Night’ which is based on a manhwa penned by Won Su Yeon (who also wrote Full House’s original manhwa). Actually, Jang has chosen his next project on upcoming Korean movie ‘You’re My Pet’, but due to the production delays, he plans to appear in the drama first.

Different from Jang’s role in hit Korean drama ‘You’re Beuatiful’ last year in which he played as a pop group vocalist, now in this drama Jang will play as a death-metal band vocalist. We can imagine how usually a death-metal band member looks, black and dangerous! But, since it will be portrayed by Jang, we have to add the one important thing, charming!

‘Mary Stayed Out All Night’ tells about a stubborn woman named Mary with not much experience in dating. Then, one day she decides to date a tough rocker Kang Mu Kyul (played by Jang). The story will be more interesting with the appearance of the third character, a perfect guy Byun Jung In who gets in the way.

The drama will be written by In Eun Ah of ‘Goong’ and ‘Love & Marriage’, while the director has yet to be confirmed. The filming will soon start after the cast has been completed. The drama is planned to air on KBS.
