Choi Si Won Takes the Role in ‘Athena’

After many great Korean stars joined the cast of the most discussed Korean drama ‘Athena: Goddess of War’, this time Choi Si Won has recently confirmed to join the blitz. It’s very exciting, of course! After his appearance in romantic comedy Korean drama ‘Oh!My Lady’ as a good-looking rising star, now he will play as an elite spy, alongside Jung Woo Sung and Cha Seung Won.

Choi’s character is named Kim Jun Ho, a newbie to the spy agency TNS. He starts out as  a data analist and dreams of becoming a spy himself. His idol figure is a confident and stylish sunbae (senior) Jung Woo (played by Jung Woo Sung). Therefore, he looks up his idol sunbae as a mentor to emulate.

Besides top Korean actors Jung Woo Sung and Cha Seung Won, its other cast members are potential Korean stars Soo Ae, Lee Ji Ah, and Kim Min Jong who had confirmed previously. Since ‘Athena’ picks many great Korean stars, people have put the high expectation for the drama. I hope it will be as successful as its previous drama, IRIS.

‘Athena’ is schedulled to broadcast later this year, following the filming that will start soon this month.
