For those who are waiting the update of Gu Hye Sun’s comeback drama ‘The Musical’, here is a very very good news for you all! After waiting around for somebody to pick it up, the drama has been finally given a 10PM timeslot on SBS for Friday nights.
The drama began filming in July 2010, but was put on halt for uncertain reasons. Now, all the staff and cast can feel slightly relieved. But, honestly it’s still a bit worrying since the timeslot is actually unusual day for a drama to air, since those currently air on every day except for Friday. I just hope the drama will be doing well.
In the drama, Gu plays the role of Eun Bi, a medical student who dreams of becoming a musical actress. Besides her, there are also Choi Daniel (Cyrano Agency) playing a famous musical writer from Broadway, real-life musical actress Ok Joo Hyun as “musical queen” Kang Hee, Park Ki Woong (Story of a Man) as a cold-blooded investor who only cares about money, and comedienne Park Kyung Lim as Eun Bi’s offbeat friend.
‘The Musical’ is set to release on September 2.

With a new MBC series ‘Can’t Lose’, Hallyu goddess Choi Ji Woo (Winter Sonata) and popular singer-actor Yoon Sang Hyun (Secret Garden) will come on-screen together for the first time!
The two will lead the drama by playing a lawyer couple that in process to divorce. Choi’s character is described as a bright, positive, and confident lawyer. However, there is still no more detail about Yoon’s character.
‘Can’t Lose’ is planned to release in August, following MBC’s campus-romance drama ‘Heartstrings’.

The much-awaited actor Kim Rae Won has announced his first army-project to be in a new SBS drama called ‘A Thousand Days Promise’ (formerly known as ‘Forget Me Not’), co-starring top actress Soo Ae (Athena: Goddess of War).
Written by star writer Kim Soo Hyun (Life is Beautiful), the drama revolves around a love story between a woman who is slowly losing her memory and a man who loves her unconditionally.
Kim is serving as a public service soldier after his last drama ‘Gourmet’ in 2008 and will start shooting the drama in August after he is discharged.
‘A Thousand Days Promise’ is aiming for September release.
