Actor Noh Min Woo has recently reported got an offer to join the cast of the upcoming daily cable sitcom titled ‘Vampire Idol’ which would allow him to co-work with veteran actress Kim Sumi (Marrying the Mafia) and comedian Shin Dong Yup.
If Noh accepts the role, he will play a vampire prince who travels from a vampire star to fulfill his dream of becoming an idol star. Shin and Kim are set to play a married couple, but the fact IS the husband is a vampire! That’s why they go with Shin who is 19-year younger than Kim to show how vampire never ages. So, he’s technically much older than her, probably by hundreds of years in the series.
Recently, Noh has also confirmed to play the lead role in the sequel of popular drama ‘House Wife’ with actress Hwang Jung Eum (Giant, Can You Hear My Heart?). However, the drama has yet to have a certain release date, so I hope he will go with this sitcom first.
‘Vampire Idol’ is still casting and aiming for December release.

The upcoming MBC special 50th anniversary drama ‘Light and Shadow’ has lined up its leads, including veteran Ahn Jae Wook (Mr. Goodbye), Kim Min Jong (Athena), Nam Sang Mi (Life is Beautiful), and singer-actress Son Dam Bi (Dream).
Directed and written by the Jumong team, the drama follows the life and career path of an entertainer Kang Ki Tae (played by Ahn), who started his career on a stage in front of American troops stationed in Korea. And he seems to get entangled in a love triangle with Kim and Nam’s character. Meanwhile, Son plays a senator’s daughter who has crush on Kang Ki Tae.
‘Light and Shadow’ is aiming for November release, following ‘Kye Baek’.

The rumors have been floating for ages about the sequel of super-hit romantic-comedy ‘Full House’, and finally we got the official news for its leads. The drama brings up together two rising stars No Min Woo (My Girlfriend is a Gumiho, Midas) and Hwang Jung Eum (Giant, Can You Hear My Heart?).
The drama’s producers are also reported in negotiation for casting another male lead, that’s rumored from famous idol group. Since the leads have been confirmed, it looks like we can expect to see the release soon enough in the future.
The original drama aired in 2004, featuring superstars Rain and Song Hye Kyo as the leading couple. It hit 40%+ ratings back then and also gained much attention throughout Asia. Looks like it’d be a big challenge for both No and Hwang to meet up the high expectation of fans.
