Bong Tae Kyu & Woo Ri to Star in an Adaptation of ‘Alice in Wonderland’
Director Kim Chul Han of ‘Outlaw’ has been announced his next project. He will helm a new Korean movie entitled ‘Alice’, an adaptation of the popular adventure-fantasy Hollywood movie ‘Alice in Wonderland’. The movie stars a comical Korean actor Bong Tae Kyu of ‘See You after School’ and a young Korean actress Woo Ri of ‘Supermom’.
The story of ‘Alice’ will be made to be contemporary and more Korean, but we seems still be able to feel the influence of the original directed by Tim Burton with the same genre which will be presented. In the movie, Woo Ri plays the lead character, who is the Alice of the original version. She is a high school student who crosses paths and meets a strange cruel fairytale killer played by Bong. The story gets going amidst haunted ruins, strange presences, and murder. It sounds interesting to see how ‘Alice in Wonderland’ will be made in modern style.
‘Alice’ is schedule to begin the filming on September 2.
